SSL Certificate

Comodo PositiveSSL

Pricey certificates are targeted at companies with large budgets. They require complicated legal verification procedures and operation history that are just excessive for someone who needs a simple SSL for a Facebook app or login page. We bet you'd rather spend that money on a fancy photo lens or new gadget, if a modest "https" is all you really need.
Comodo PositiveSSL doesn't require complicated validation. It's issued before you can say "blueberry pie" (well, after 5–15 minutes of waiting once you've activated the certificate). However, Comodo may select random orders for an additional brand validation. In such case, the SSL will be issued within the timeframe determined by Comodo. Sorry, friends — don't blame us.
All SSL certs provide your website with security, but there are varying levels of it. The bigger the key, the harder it is to decode. The precise encryption value of PositiveSSL falls into the 40- to 256-bit range. Most browsers/operating systems work at 128-bit level, which is quite secure according to modern security standards. 256-bit encryption level can be reached if numerous factors match — when your site's hosting settings and your visitors' browser settings are configured to operate at 256-bit level — but this is mostly out of your control. Devices that work at only 40-bit are as extinct as triceratops (some people believe they never even existed).
Hey! Once you join the team, don't forget to keep the email in your profile updated. We send reminders 30 days before SSL expiration and no one wants them to go to Nowhere Land.
Question | What domain should I use? With www or without?
Answer | Comodo PositiveSSL is flexible. Whatever version you choose to put into the CSR, both URLs (with www and without) will be covered.
